We’d like to welcome two new undergraduate reserachers have joined PAIRS: Jacob Samar and James Neville!

Jacob is a senior undergraduate Computer Science student in the 5 MS/BS program path. He is interested in finding effective uses of machine learning to solve everyday problems. After obtaining his BS (in May 2021), Jacob hopes to continue researching in the realm of machine learning and HCI as a graduate student.
Jimmy is a 4th year undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is interested in developing and studying intelligent systems that explore different ways to motivate human beings. Before coming to the University of Tennessee, he worked as a Computer Science Supplemental Instructer at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee. He currently works as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Cornerstone of Recovery in Louisville, Tennessee. He plans on graduating in May of 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and he plans on attending Graduate School beginning in Fall of 2021.
